What sorting options are available?

Alphabetical A to Z, reverse alphabetical Z to A, by line length shortest first, by line length longest first, and random shuffle.

Is sorting case-sensitive?

Standard alphabetical sort is case-sensitive, with uppercase letters sorting before lowercase in ASCII order. A case-insensitive option is available.

Can I sort numbers correctly?

Standard alphabetical sort treats numbers as strings, so 10 comes before 2. For numeric sort, enable the numeric sort option so numbers are compared by value rather than character.

Does it preserve blank lines?

Blank lines are treated as empty strings and sort accordingly. They can be removed before sorting using the Remove Duplicates tool if needed.

Does it work offline?

Yes.

Can I sort a CSV file by a specific column?

The sort tool sorts entire lines. For column-specific sorting, use the CSV Visualizer tool which has more structured data handling.
